Personal hygiene is about how you care for yourself and your surroundings. Good personal hygiene habits keep us clean and healthy and help to keep safe the people surrounding us.

Here are some simple hygiene tips that you can follow to maintain a hygienic environment at your home.

1.      Teach your children-

·        Teach about when they should wash their hands. As-

  1. Before eating,
  2. After using the toilet,
  3. After touching an animal, and
  4. After touching a public using the surface.

·        Teach the importance of brushing their teeth every day, and consult your children’s dentist when they need to floss as well.

·        Remind them to cover their mouth during sneezing or coughing.

·        Teach them how to blow their nose when it is blocked. 

2.      Be prepared for children's care –

·        Always keep a spare set of clothes ready in case of child toilet accidents or food and drink spills.

·        Keep your child at home when they are sick or not good enough. 

3.      Clean surfaces regularly- Clean high-traffic areas like door handles, light switches, kitchen surfaces, and toilets regularly. Clean the surface and your hands after handling food.

4.      Wash bed sheets and towels regularly- Wash your bedsheet at least once a week. When you allow pets into your bedroom, it is recommended to wash your bed sheet as well as towels more regularly. 

5.      Hygiene for pet owners- When you have animals at home, it is important to remember to practice good personal hygiene. Clean the surface regularly to avoid pet hair and bacteria. You must clean your hands after playing with your pets.

6.      Hygiene for your tech- Your smartphone, tablet, and computer keyboard-mouse may be the place for storing harmful bacteria. You should sanitize these items using tissue paper, spray sanitizer over tissue paper and properly wipe the items.

7.      Wash your body- Take a shower every day, and wash well, especially under your armpit and around your genitals and anus. Keeping clean your body will prevent form skin irritation and unpleasant body odour.

8.      Allow pure air to your home- The air in your home is 2-5 times more polluted than outdoors. We go for regular health check-ups, but we ignore the most basic thing- the quality of air that we breathe every time. Breathing in toxic gases can cause rashes, coughing, asthma, and irritation-like symptoms. Here are a few ways to purify your home air-
